The Tracked Launch Window
Marvel Rivals Season 10 went live on Friday, September 11, 2026 at 09:00 UTC (about two hours of maintenance) with the Version 20260911 notes. The date was first derived from cadence — Season 9 launched July 10, Season 9.5 followed on August 7 (a four-week gap), and the five-week half-season cadence from August 7 lands on September 11 — and official materials have since confirmed it.
| Item | Status as of September 11, 2026 | Boundary |
|---|---|---|
| Launch date | Live since September 11, 2026, 09:00 UTC | Official Version 20260911 notes |
| Battle pass | The Godbomb: 10 costume sets, headlined by White Fox - Cosmic Kumiho, Captain America - Astral Aegis and Loki - The Chronicler | Official notes |
| New content | Gorr the God Butcher listed under New Villain; The Tetrameron season event; Season 4 pass Fruit of Immortality rerun September 11–24 | Official notes; Gorr is not listed as a playable hero — verify in-game |
| Rank reset | Competitive rank resets on launch day; Gold-tier costume is Gorr the God Butcher - Gods’ Graveyard | Tracker-derived expectation; the official notes list the Gold costume, not the reset mechanic |
What Resets — and What Carries Over
Community trackers expected exactly two resets when Season 10 began:
| Resets on launch day | Carries over |
|---|---|
| Competitive rank | Hero mastery progress |
| Battle pass progression | Previously purchased battle pass cosmetics |
Both rows are tracker-derived until the official notes say otherwise. Check the in-game season notice before making a spend or climb decision based on this table.
The Last Week of Season 9 (Archived Pre-Launch Advice)
- Finish or write off the Season 9 battle pass. Progress resets when Season 10 starts. Compare the tiers you can realistically reach against the price of topping up, then decide deliberately instead of grinding into launch day.
- Claim the Season 9 rank reward state. The official Season 9 notes list Jubilee — Crimson Crown for reaching Gold or above; verify your current competitive standing in the ranked panel before the reset wipes the ladder.
- Check Twitch Drops claim state. The Season 9.5 drop window (Elsa Bloodstone — Will of Galacta) ended September 4 at 09:00 UTC. Confirm what actually landed on your account rather than assuming.
- Test The Hood while the ladder is soft. The Season 9.5 patch added him mid-season; queue a few casual matches now so your Season 10 placement games are not his trial run.
- Audit the event panel. Creed of Akabba’s end date is not printed in the official notes — check its remaining missions in-game before the season boundary.
- Let the client update early. Season patches use a maintenance window (the 9.5 one was estimated at two hours). Queue the download when it goes live instead of planning around an old client.
Launch-Day Order
- Read the official Season 10 notes first — resets, new hero kit, Team-Up changes and event windows all change at once.
- Confirm the reset table above against the in-game notice; official wording wins.
- Skim a fresh patch analysis before ranked; the Season 9 tier list is a dated 20260710 snapshot and says so on the page.
- Verify new event missions before spending Units.
- Ignore “day-one meta” verdicts, including ours, until they cite post-patch matches.
